Art

Hi, I make art on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland

In my previous life, I worked as a photographer, graphic designer and art director in studios worldwide. It had been a rewarding career but also a stressful and demanding life. But when the opportunity arose to move to Queensland, I jumped at the chance. I was happy to leave it all behind in favour of a more laid-back lifestyle. SO… I have taken up some of my favourite hobbies on a full time basis. Fishing and painting, in no particular order.

Aside from fishing, I also have a passion for music and art. I enjoy creating my own music, particularly fond of Australian alternative music from the late 70’s into the 80’s. I often spent evenings jamming out on the guitar or listening to my favourite bands; and of course food and drink go hand in hand. I love the fruits of the sea, and I’m always on the lookout for the perfect craft beer.

I grew up in Brisbane on a diet of graphics design, fine art and new-wave music and bad politicians. My artwork is a reflection of those times. My aim to tell stories through my art, capture the beauty of the natural world, and provide a glimpse of the the world according to me.

Now living in Noosa, Queensland, I blend innovative graphic elements, photography, and distressed textures with nature and the beach. I create abstract artworks inspired by the natural beauty of the local landscape, from the beach to the rainforest. My work incorporates elements of collage, photography, and digital manipulation to create an original and unique piece of art. I also use a variety of mediums, such as paint, ink, and digital manipulation, to explore new styles and techniques.

My artworks are designed to evoke emotion and bring joy to those who view them and has been displayed in local galleries here in the sunshine state, I am always looking for new opportunities to showcase my work. I believe that art should be accessible to everyone, and I hope to continue to share my creativity and passion with the world. Art should be affordable and consumed by everyone. Art should be inspiring and thought-provoking as a form of expression, reflecting the artist’s innermost thoughts and feelings. Art should be an open dialogue between the artist and the viewer, creating a connection between them. My artwork is a reflection of my true self, and I hope that it can bring joy and happiness to people everywhere.
